Roadmap to Joy

During the height of the pandemic, "The Culture Rooms" collaborated with renowned art administrator Atiba T.Edwards and
Arts and Crafts Holding to create a curatorial public exhibition titled "Roadmap to Joy" in Philadelphia. We initiated a call for
entry specifically targeting Black artists, encouraging them to submit work that captured the theme "Roadmap to Joy."

The selected artworks were printed and prominently displayed in the storefront windows of closed businesses along Spring Garden in Philadelphia. This innovative project supported five artists, each of whom received an artist stipend, demonstrating a commitment to both promoting art during challenging times, uplifting Black artistic voices in the community and encouraging people to envision a roadmap to joy.
